Fundraising Report:
Fundraising Coordinator, Ashlee Sanders reports on the car wash and it isn’t that great of news. Unfortunately, it rained the day before and no one really seemed interesting in paying to get their car washed. Although the turn out wasn’t what was expected, a big thank you to Fundraising Coordinator, Ashlee Sanders, Vice President of Public Relations, Europe Doan, Ethan Edwards, Lily Graber, and stand-in Advisor Adrienne Giffin donating their time and energy. After five hours and only washing two vehicles Fundraising Coordinator, Ashlee Sander made the motion the end the car wash early and it was seconded by all.
Vice President of Public Relations, Europe Doan found out the form to fill out to reserve a booth at this year’s Hunting and Fishing Days. Attending members all thought it would be a good idea to raffle things off this year. Fundraising Coordinator, Ashlee Sanders agreed to start contacting sporting goods stores to see if we can get anything donated. In brainstorming, this question if used items could be raffled off was brought up. After some discussion President, Anna Buetow, states she will ask Adrienne Giffin who we need to speak with about this issue. Secretary, Brandi Husch states that she knows Tim and Hunter Grounds who sell duck calls every year at Hunting and Fishing Days and will ask them about some donations.
Committee Report:
College Project report--
Secretary, Brandi Husch, and Vice President of Public Relations, Europe Doan, sat down with Jonathan LeBlond Monday, August 12, 2013 to edit the video to promote the Student Success Center. Vice President of Public Relations and Assistant Director, Europe Doan said that the whole process was very interesting and went a lot faster than she thought. Secretary and Director, Brandi Husch was extremely pleased with the end product. She wanted to give credit to Europe Doan for picking out the music in the video. She also wanted to thank everyone again for helping with the filming of the video and want to let everyone know that the video is playing on the TVs throughout John A. Logan. We have received a lot of positive feedback and everyone should be proud! The link for the video can be found here: http://goo.gl/esDP6P Now that the department heads have been emailed with not a lot of response, attending members all agreed it was a good idea to contact all teachers on campus. Vice President of Fellowship, Kristi Fleming had a print out of the flyer she made for attending members to look at. Ethan Edwards mentioned that we are wanting to get the word out to students that tutoring is free, but it didn’t state that in the flyer. All attending members thought that is a great observation and Kristi agrees to stay after the meeting and edit the flyer.
