Reading of Minutes:

Fundraising Report:
President, Anna Buetow, gave the fundraising report discussing three main ideas:
1.) Mix-It-Up Day- It is a definite for next year to bring clubs on campus together. Several ideas were suggested for lunch because last year food was a focus and we learned that there are a lot of stipulations when bring/selling food on campus. With this in mind, it was decided that brings clubs together to get them to interact and “mix-it-up” should be the focus of Mix-It-Up Day. Vice President of Membership, Drew Hans, mentioned we needed to find out or come with an official ‘mission statement’ for Mix-It-Up Day to help keep us focused on what are goal is. Most members also agreed it would be beneficial to call a meeting with leaders from other clubs on campus to see who would be interested.
2.) Rummage Sale- The rummage sale idea, although good for some groups, is not a good choice for what we need and what is available to us.
3.) Pie-A-Kappan- The idea of people paying to pie a Kappan is a great idea, but we have made it even better after a great brain storming session. The idea of having heads of different departments, coaches, and directors to sponsor each was a popular subject during the brain storming session. With this in mind, Vice President of Fellowship, Kristi Fleming, had the idea to have the Pie-A-Kappa event be on Mix-It-Up Day. Everyone was encouraged to think about these ideas and be prepared to discuss it again in the future.
Committee Report:
Secretary, Brandi Husch, gives a status report on the video script for our 2013-14 College Project. It has been sent to Phillip Lane and Steve O’keefe. We are waiting for a reply so we can schedule a date to start filming.
Vice President of Fellowship, Kristi Fleming, and Vice President of Public Relations, Europe Doan, give an update on Upsilon Pi’s bulletin board. Working on it after the meeting and will be working on it in the future. (See pictures on our Facebook page)
Old Business:
Members that played volleyball at Herrin Park on June 20th, 2013 recap the event. Vice President of Membership, Drew Hans, says 16 people attended and he didn’t take many pictures, but a good time was had by all.
Officer team recaps their Team Building event experience. President, Anna Buetow, said it helped pick out things we can improve on. Vice President of Membership, Drew Hans, said it helped him understand the importance of communication and also helped him learn how to more effectively communicate with his fellow officers.
Scrapbook project-
Last week President, Anna Buetow, asked members to think about “Time” for the theme for our 2013-14 scrapbook. Vice President of Membership, Drew Hans, makes a motion to officially make “Time” our theme and Vice President of Public Relations, Europe Doan, seconds the motion. President, Anna Buetow, puts the motion up for vote and all present members vote in favor. Now, with the theme decided, President, Anna Buetow, proposed we form a committee to take charge of the scrapbook. Vice President of Public Relations, Europe Doan, will head the committee with Vice President of Fellowship Kristi Fleming and Lily Garber volunteering to be on the committee. The committee, along with anyone who wants to help, will be going to pick out background colors from Hobby Lobby within the next two weeks.
New Business:
