Greeings, Members!!
First off, if you made it to this part of our website, I'd like to give you a big CONGRATULATIONS. There is a lot of information for you, as a member, to have about our chapter and Phi Theta Kappa. These blogs help to give you an insight about your officers as well as getting an idea of what's been going on in our chapter from an officer perspective. It's a really neat tool and I hope you get to use it!
Secondly, I'd like to tell you a bit about myself and my goals for being Chapter President:
My name is Anna Buetow. I am an Elementary and Special Education major. This year will be both my first year as an official college student and my last year at John A. Logan College. I was able to take most of my credits throughout high school since I was homeschooled. I am almost 19 years old and have two sisters and three crazy cats. I work at a daycare and the tutoring lab at school.
As the new President for our Upsilon Pi Phi Theta Kappa Chapter, I hope to have a great year filled with many learning adventures for my fellow members and officers. My goal is to keep things as organized as possible while making sure that fun will be had and communication will be clear among members and officers. That's all about me! Thank you for listening. I look forward to hearing more about all of you through our many adventures as a chapter!

Lastly, I'd like to give you an idea about Phi Theta Kappa from my perspective. To put it simply, it's one of the best additional experience for an academically focused community college student. Phi Theta Kappa gives you the chance to meet and work along side like-minded people at the time commitment of your choice. It's a great organization that brings many different people together. We help motivate each other to be the best that we can be while balancing our crazy school, work, and life schedules. We also gain leadership and social skills together. It's a great opportunity and I can't wait to help you enjoy it to fullest.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope it was helpful! Please leave comments, feedback, and ask questions.
Until Next Time, Members, Take Care! :D
